What RideScore is (and isn't)

RideScore provides entertainment-grade estimates of flight turbulence derived from public weather forecast models, and lets you record your own impressions of a flight. It is not an aviation weather briefing, not a safety product, and not advice of any kind. Do not use it to make operational, safety or travel decisions. Turbulence forecasts are inherently uncertain and actual conditions will differ. Always follow the instructions of your flight crew.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RideScore and its operator accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this site.

Privacy

RideScore has no accounts and collects no personal information.
Your ride logs and scores are stored only in your browser's local storage, on your device. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
The optional bump-o-meter and "Am I flying?" features use your device's motion and location sensors only with your permission, only in the moment, and the readings never leave your device.
To produce forecasts, your browser contacts third-party data services directly (Open-Meteo, adsbdb, NOAA Aviation Weather Center via a relay). Their own policies apply to those requests.

Weather forecast data: Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0), based on NOAA GFS and ECMWF models.
Pilot reports and SIGMETs: NOAA Aviation Weather Center (public domain).
Flight routes: adsbdb.
Airport database: OpenFlights (ODbL).

The RideScore name, site design, code and content are © 2026 RideScore. All rights reserved. You may not copy, reproduce or create derivative versions of this site or its branding without prior written permission. Sharing your own scorecards is, of course, the whole point — go wild.
